Kuala Lumpur, August 10, Malaysia –  In an exciting step towards its evolving journey in technology, Credit Bureau Malaysia (CBM) attended the AI Unplugged 2023 conference at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur. 

Organized by the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), the event was a convergence of many AI experts and/or enthusiasts, including CBM’s CEO, Leong Weng Choong, who participated in a panel discussion, titled: Smart Finance: Unraveling AI’s Role in Credit Reporting and Banking Analytics.

At this event, CBM sought to gather insights into how artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the financial industry, especially in areas like credit reporting and analytics. Leong Weng Choong’s presence on the panel demonstrated CBM’s ongoing efforts to understand and eventually integrate more AI into its operations more effectively.

The conference provided CBM with an opportunity to learn from the experiences and strategies of other industry leaders. Discussions about leveraging AI for improved accuracy in credit risk assessment and fraud detection were particularly relevant to CBM’s current focus.
